A stranger rang our doorbell and asked if I was selling the vintage doors propped along the street’s view of our Wonder Home. I smiled and looked at my hubby. See buddy? All those years you’ve teased me about collecting old windows, doors, clocks…? Thankyouverymuch.
Before I knew it the guy was in our house, looking around, commenting on the bookcase and asking where I got our zinc side table. And then he starts picking up our collection of teal Ball jars, turning every one upside down. “I’m looking for the number 13. They’re the rare ones because during the war, most of those numbered jars were destroyed because people believed they brought bad luck.”
There are a handful of theories surrounding why 13 is an unlucky number.
Well, 13, us Pogue’s ain’t scared of you in the least because last month we celebrated a baker’s dozen of wedded-ness and lemme tell you, this year is going to blow the roof off! Beautiful, healing, vibrant. New is in store and we are like, 13 WE HEART YOU!!!!!
